Our True Nature

We are not outside of what we are aware of, we are what it appears in.

We can never fully grasp who we truly are, for it is not an objective appearance in reality. We made the false assumption that what we truly are is localized somewhere in a body or mind.

However, look at the evidence.

What conclusive evidence is there to point to the fact that I am a certain person who is a certain way? Where is the person?

Where is the person that you supposedly are? This person that is apart from everything that happens to it? I cannot find it, and I bet you can’t either.

Memory is playing with us:

Could it be that when we awake each morning, that what we think we experience is merely a memory of all the days previous? That the accumulation of conditioning and patterns have imprinted on what you think you are?

The previous memories superimpose what has always happened onto what is happening now. This superimposition on top of our experience becomes an expectation and when things outside of the ordinary happen, we experience their freshness and we fall out of the cycle, only to be swept up shortly after.

What if we could go back to that original freshness of all experience. To the ancient origins of experience where all superimposition's fall away.

Funnily enough, we are already there.

The only thing in our “way” is something we can do nothing about. To get rid of the mirage we have come to believe is in a way, is the same as adding to the mirage. To return back to the roots of who we essentially are, there must be understanding.

You cannot destroy a memory by doing anything to it, you must allow it to exist as it wants to, without judgment or end gaining. We give it the respect to evolve as it pleases and it should be given the space to fully expand.

Personal Agendas

There must be no personal agenda, for what person is there? What is it that the person wants? To engage in this practice with the agenda to get rid of something is merely the extension of ignorance.

There must be a sense of impersonal awareness to whatever memory we feel. Since the person you have mistaken yourself to be is powered by such memory, it will take advantage of the opportunity to continue its existence.

What we truly are does not fear death, but the person does.

The ego’s one wish is to be ended. It strives and pushes among st the crowds of all other egos in the wish that it’s suffering be ended. The striving is all for happiness which is a state where there exists no person. The ego wishes for its own dissolution but we have mistaken ourselves as this false sense of separation so we have thrown a monkey wrench into that plan.

When we take the position of the highest subjectivity, the person is relieved of the burden of being a person. It is now free to expand in this space, it is relieved of the contraction in the body and it can now express itself and…

finally come to rest.

So there is nothing to do, nothing to study, nothing to say. All that can happen is the recognition of our true nature, and staying with it. In time, we loosen the belief structures we have previously held through starving them of attention and activation.

To be left in silence.
